The Epic Games Store will allow games that have an “Adults Only” age rating by the ESRB if that rating has been applied for containing blockchain or NFT technology.
On December 19, two titles with this technology disappeared from the store: Gods Unchained and Striker Manager 3. In statements from the ESRB to PC Gamer, the age rating agency confirmed that the reason was the way in which the technology had been implemented. technology, since they include products with real value or that can be exchanged for real money.
This rating conflicted with one of Epic’s policies, which prohibits any game with an Adults Only rating from its store. It does allow games with blockchain, unlike its direct rival Steam, which banned titles with this technology in October 2021.

For this reason, Epic has changed its prohibited content policies to make an exception. Games with an Adults Only rating that have received this category due to the presence of blockchain or NFT technology will be allowed in the store.
However, these titles will have to comply with the rest of the rules regarding Adults Only content, prohibiting the presence of pornography, gambling and hate content in the games on their platform.
Following this change in company policies, both Gods Unchained and Striker Manager 3 have returned to the Epic Games Store.
