European Commission: Make Ukraine EU candidate subject to conditions

Ukraine could very quickly become a candidate for EU membership – subject to conditions. With that positive advice, drawn up in record time, the European Commission now puts the ball back in the Member States’ court. They will meet at the highest level – heads of state and government – ​​at the end of next week.
