Kapu Welfare Sena founder and former MP Chegondi Hariramazogaiah said that he will achieve reservation for the Kapus even if he dies. It is known that recently Hariramazogaiah gave an ultimatum to the AP government to give a clarification before December 31 regarding the provision of 5 percent reservation for Kapus. Hariramazogaiah issued a statement on Sunday in the wake of the expiry of that deadline.
Harirama Jogaiah revealed that he will go on hunger strike on Monday in Palakollu of West Godavari district for the pursuit of Kapu reservation. He alleged that the police did not give permission to go on hunger strike. Hariramazogaiah decided that even if someone disturbs his initiation and takes him to the hospital, he will continue the initiation from there. He criticized that CM Jagan has no love for the Kapus and he does not really want the Kapus to grow economically.
Hariramazogaiah recalled that the central government had given 10 percent reservation to the poor in the upper castes and tried to give 5 percent to the Kapus during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime. By the time the Bill was approved by the Governor, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had come to power and the Kapus did not get 5 percent reservation. Hariramazogaiah said that Jagan had done severe injustice to the Kapus in three years. Kapu revealed that he is going on a hunger strike because he has not received a response from the government on reservation. At the age of 85, Harirama Jogaiah has announced that he will go on a fast. His fans are worried that if anything happens to Hariramazogaiah in the fight for Kapu reservation, the government will be responsible.
