US couple Shawn Redner and his wife Hilary Sigal Redner have turned their home into a cat museum. The specialty of this museum is the different statues of cats. There are more than 4000 statues in this museum. They first started the museum with 3000 statues in the basement of the house.
It is reported that there is not a single duplicate of their statues. My goal is to turn all this into a coffee shop. There are cats available for people to adopt. Shawn said visitors can grab a cup of coffee and bring home a cat.
What started with a dozen cat figurines they bought from local thrift stores, the pair has now grown into a formidable collection of 13,000 second-hand or rescued ones. All these were bought from antique shops or donated by people from different countries.

The Redners hold an open house on the third Sunday of every month. This is an opportunity for visitors to see the museum. The money raised through voluntary donations by visitors is then donated to rescue cats. Since opening the museum in August 2020, the couple has raised more than $2,000 (roughly Rs. 1.6 lakh) for local shelters.
They collected more than 13,000 statues in four years. The couple is working to make the museum the largest collection of its kind. Shawn and Hilary have less than 9,000 items to collect to break the world record of 21,000. ‘I have to give up something in my life. Why not enter the Guinness Book of World Records,’ he says.
