New Delhi: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “To reduce road accidents by 50% by 2025, everyone’s efforts are necessary.”
Participating in a TV program as part of Road Safety Week, he said, “To reduce road accidents by 50% by 2025, everyone’s efforts are necessary. A law will soon be introduced regarding fixing the working hours of truck drivers.”
During this program, film actor Amitabh Bachchan, Isha Foundation founder Satguru Zakhi Vasudev and others participated and discussed various aspects related to road transport.
Road Safety Week was observed across the country from January 11 to 17. During this week, awareness programs related to road safety were conducted across the country for school and college students including various competitions.
