Representatives of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, together with their families, received British citizenship. Such a statement on Thursday, April 28, was made by the ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, deprived of his mandate, Ilya Kiva, in his Telegram channel.
“Now my compatriots will start laying you in the ground with double zeal. <...> A successful business project for actors from the 95th quarter: in three years they turned into dollar billionaires and received citizenship of the desired country! Kiva wrote.
He also added that Ukrainians received a destroyed country and tens of thousands of corpses as a “reward” from the authorities.
On April 21, Ilya Kiva announced that he had requested political asylum in Russia and citizenship of the country. As the politician added, Russia and Ukraine are currently on a difficult path, but it will bring peace and order to the countries. In his opinion, Ukrainians and Russians remain one people, and Ukraine should become part of Russia.
As Kiva continued, he spent many years in opposition activities in Ukraine, while Kyiv began to revive fascism, which must be stopped. Criminal cases against the politician were initiated, in his opinion, for political reasons.
At the end of the appeal, Kiva vowed to defend Russia and strengthen its state borders.
On March 6, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova announced that Kiva was accused of high treason, an attempt on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, propaganda of war, and illegal handling of weapons. The politician himself then said that he had learned about the suspicion on January 29, so he flew to Spain. From there he flew to Moscow.
On April 18, it became known that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine would turn to the Russian Federation with a demand to extradite Kiva for investigation. the next day, Dmitry Belik, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, told Izvestia that the ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada intended to seek political asylum not in “free” Europe, but in Russia, where they are really capable of defending and defending the truth.
On February 17, the situation in the Donbass escalated significantly due to shelling by the Ukrainian military. The Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics turned to the Russian Federation for help. On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the independence of the DNR and LNR.
