New Delhi. Elon Musk has announced that posts on X that have been corrected by users through community notes will become ineligible for advertising revenue share.
Making a slight change to creator monetization, Musk said that any posts that are corrected by Community Notes, which gives people on X the right to add notes to those posts, become ineligible for revenue share.
A follower asked the ex-owner if there would be an appeals process for this new move. “Community notes will sometimes hit memes in a humorous manner or add context/links, even if the original post was not misleading/inaccurate.”
To identify notes that are helpful to a wide range of people, Community Notes requires agreement among contributors who sometimes disagree with their previous ratings to help prevent one-sided ratings .
Earlier this month, Notes written on images and videos now appear on more posts that contain matching media.
“In many cases, we send notifications to people who liked, reposted, or replied to a post who later received a note,” Ax said. We have expanded it to a great extent, and notifications are being sent for more notes.
Previews are now live on both Android and web, and are also coming to iOS soon. According to the company, note previews help gather ratings faster, so good notes go live faster.
