Excited boys.. India’s victory over Sri Lanka in a thrilling match

The boys of Team India were blown away. Did an impressive performance before the ODI World Cup. In the first T20 against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, he excelled in the batting and bowling departments and gave victory to India. India won the match by 2 runs in a thrilling match till the last ball. While Deepak Hooda, Ishan Kishan and Akshar Patel excelled with the bat, young bowlers Shivam Mavi and Umran Malik were on fire with the ball. The Sri Lankan captain turned away from Chahal’s brilliant catch. It is remarkable that the Indian pacer Umran Malik bowled the ball at the speed of 155 kmph when Dasun Shanaka was dismissed.

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, the Indian team scored 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sri Lanka lost wickets regularly as the bowlers threw the balls strictly. In the end, young batsmen Deepak Hooda (41 runs, 23 balls, 4 sixes, 1 four) and Akshar Patel (31 runs, 20 balls, 3 fours, 1 six) played aggressively and India got a respectable score.

Another young player who came as an opener, Ishan Kishan impressed with 37 runs (29 balls, 2 sixes, 3 fours). Captain Hardik Pandya scored 29 runs (off 27 balls, 4 fours). Suryakumar Yadav (7), Subhaman Gill (7), Sanju Samson (5) were dismissed for a low score.

Good signs ahead of the World Cup
Keeping in view the World Cup to be held in India this year, the Indian team management has given more opportunities to the youngsters for the series with Lanka. Two young players Shivam Mavi and Shubman Gill made their debut in this match. It is remarkable that all the new guys are performing well keeping BCCI’s faith.
