Expatriate Malayali Died Due To Heart Attack In Riyadh

Riyadh: A Malayali died in Western Twaif due to heart attack. The deceased is Sreekumar Srinivasan, a native of Kayakulam Puthupally. He was 54 years old. Sreekumar, who fell ill at his residence, was rushed to the hospital by his colleagues and friends, but his life could not be saved.

Sreekumar, who previously worked in Riyadh, joined Twaif three years ago. Recently his wife Raji has also reached Twaif on a visit visa. Sreekumar was taken to Twaif King Abdul Aziz Hospital immediately after the heart attack. But life could not be saved.

The relatives said that the body kept in the hospital will be taken home. Sreekumar’s colleagues and volunteers are on hand to complete the process.

Subin S Kumar is the son of Srinivasan and another son Saran S Kumar died in a car accident in June last year. Sreekumar is the son of Sreenivasan and Jagadamma at Puthupally Srinilayam.

Train fire: Chief Minister visited the homes of the dead

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan visited the homes of Manikoth Rahmat at Mattanur Pallot Palli Badaria Mansil and Puthiyapura KP Naufiq at Kotolipram Palace who died after being set on fire by a running train at Elathur. He arrived at the Kannur airport at around 1 pm on Friday and reached the Chief Minister Rahmat’s house first. Chief Minister’s wife Kamala was also present.

The Chief Minister consoled Rahmat’s family members and sought information from them. Rehmat’s husband Sharfuddin, son Muhammad Ramshad and Umm Jamila spoke to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister also consoled the family members of Naufiq.

District Collector S Chandrasekhar handed over the financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased in the presence of the Chief Minister. Mattannur Municipality Chairman Shajith Master, Former MLA MV Jayarajan, Color Road Ward Councilor PP Abdul Jalil, ADG PMR Ajith Kumar, Kozhikode Range IG Neeraj K Gupta, Kannur Range DIG Putta Vimaladitya, City Police Commissioner Ajit Kumar, A DMKK Divakaran, other people representatives, political party representatives etc.
