Faisal Al Fadel, a member of the Shura Council, affirmed that the draft sports system, which was approved on Tuesday, aims to enhance international cooperation and transparency in various sports activities.
A member of the Shura Council told “Fi Al-Mouram”: The sports system is a set of legal rules that govern sports in general, and with time it appeared to us the need for legislation related to sports.
He added: The next stage in the draft sports system is to raise it to the Highest, and then refer it to the Experts Committee and study it with the Ministry of Sports and the concerned authorities, and after that it is either approved or returned in the event that it is supposed to be amended.
Faisal Al Fadel confirmed that the Ministry of Sports is the executive body of the project: the main reference and executive body for the sports system project is the Ministry of Sports, and one of its goals is to strengthen international cooperation and implement Saudi Arabia’s international sports commitments. The importance of the sports project system is that it is issued by the state and applied compulsorily to all government agencies, and coordination between the authorities will have a mechanism to guarantee it and confirm its application between the various ministries.
Al Fadel stressed that the project includes a specialized sports judiciary: enhancing transparency and governance procedures in the various sports activities within the project.
