KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait is reportedly resuming the suspended family visa process. In the first phase, visas will be granted to families of healthcare workers. Local media reports that the Ministry of Home Affairs has given permission for this. Family visa is given to wife and children of health workers.
Visa is allowed for boys up to 15 years and girls up to 18 years. The proceedings in this regard had already started last month. Visa application process will be available through Sahal app. This is seen as the first step towards restarting the family visa process.

In June last year, family visas were suspended in Kuwait. The expatriate community is looking forward to the resumption of the visa process which has been suspended for a long time. The non-residents were in a situation where they could not bring their families with them as the visit visa was not granted. Currently only employment visa and commercial visit visa are allowed.
