The relevant ministries have agreed on an investment project for the supply of Russian aircraft on lease to the Far Eastern airline Aurora, a source close to the Cabinet told Izvestia.
The total cost of the deal will be just over 55 billion rubles, two sources familiar with the details of the deal said. Of these, 21 Mi-171A2 and Mi-171A3 helicopters will be delivered for 33 billion, and eight Superjet-New and ten nine-seater Baikals will cost 22 billion rubles, one of the interlocutors said. Aircraft L-410 and Il-114-300, which were previously also planned to be transferred to the airline, were not included in the final investment project, he specified.
The deal will be financed by the National Wealth Fund, but part of the Baikal and Mi-171A3 will be transferred with commercial money, the source added.
Official representatives of Aurora, UAC, STLC declined to comment. The press services of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transport did not provide them either.
A UZGA representative confirmed to Izvestiya that the plant is participating in the project as a leasing supplier for 10 LMS-901 Baikal aircraft.
“We are not authorized to disclose the financial and technical conditions under the supply agreement until the signing of a firm contract and without the consent of the parties,” a company representative specified.
