Haryana. Farmer organizations of Punjab have been sitting on the Shambhu border since February demanding their demands. Not allowing them to move ahead from Haryana. Even on December 6, the farmers tried to move forward, but the police forced the farmers to retreat by firing tear gas shells. Today again the farmers moved towards Delhi but again they were stopped.
At Shambhu border, Haryana Police is asking farmers to show their identity cards. Police say that we will first identify the farmers and then let them go ahead. We have a list of names of 101 farmers and these are not those people. They are not allowing us to identify ourselves. They are moving forward as a crowd. An argument has started between the farmers and the police. Haryana Police is asking permission from farmers to go to Delhi.
On the other hand, on the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march of farmers, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said that what is happening with the farmers is very unfortunate, because they are demanding MSP support. Which is not being given to them despite the commitment of the government (centre). The government which had talked about doubling the income of farmers.
Apart from this, Patiala SSP Nanak Singh on Shambhu border said that the media has not been stopped. We have no such intention but it was necessary to give information to the media. Last time we came to know that 3-4 media persons have been injured. To avoid that, we informed the media. We will try that this does not happen, but if someone gets injured, we have a medical team to evacuate him.
