Noida. On Tuesday, the police forcibly arrested the farmers who were protesting at Dalit Prerna Sthal in Noida. After being arrested, the farmers were put in jail. The farmers who set out to march to Delhi on Monday were assured that their demands would be met within seven days.
Let us tell you that on Monday evening, farmers had started their protest at Dalit Prerna Sthal, away from the expressway. During this period, due to the arrest of farmers, the traffic coming towards Dalit Prerna Sthal was stopped. Due to police action, traffic movement on Noida Greater Noida Expressway near Dalit Prerna Sthal remained closed for about 40 to 45 minutes, however, traffic movement started after that.
Earlier, 10 buses have been called from Noida and Greater Noida depots at Dalit Prerna Sthal for the arrest of farmers. These buses will run on Agra, Farrukhabad, Haridwar routes. Due to the farmers’ protest, they were put on police duty. Due to this, passengers going from the depot to Agra, Farrukhabad, Haridwar may face problems.
It is noteworthy that after a four-day protest at Yamuna Authority on Monday, farmers under the banner of United Kisan Morcha, who were marching to Delhi, had a heated argument with the police. The police stopped the farmers from traveling towards Delhi with tractor-trolleys. They entered the Yida campus by breaking the boom barrier. In protest, the farmers blocked the main road in front of the YIDA office, but the police forcefully removed the farmers from there and also removed their tractor trolley. There was a scuffle between the police and the farmers. The farmers were adamant on their demand to leave for Noida or face arrest.
