West Indies’ Tagenarine Chanderpal hit a double century in the Test match against Zimbabwe. It is noteworthy that he is the son of former West Indies player Shivnarine Chanderpal.
The West Indies team is playing a cricket series on tour in Zimbabwe. Both teams are playing a two-match Test series. Junior Chanderpal scored 207 off 467 balls in the first innings of the first match of the series.
He made his debut against the Australian team in November 2022. This match against Zimbabwe will be his 3rd Test match. He scored a double century in his 5th Test innings. His father had scored a double century in his 136th Test innings. Shivnarine Chanderpal scored a double century of 203 off 370 balls. Both have returned as not-out batsmen.
Like his father, he scored a half-century in his first Test match. He is also expected to continue playing in the same manner and score more runs for the West Indies team in the coming days.
