Khaseif, ranked 91st in the world, added her second silver medal at the Asian Championships, after winning the Under-21 category at the Almaty Championship in Kazakhstan in 2021. Fatima played tough matches during her career, as she defeated Saudi champion Lama Keefi in the first match with a score of (6-0), followed by a big victory over Japanese champion Tsubasa Kama (10-3), and defeated Jordanian champion Jude Al-Drous on penalties, after a match that ended in a draw, so the judges resorted to voting to announce the winner, so Khaseif played the final against Hong Kong champion, Lee Cheuk Wong, in a match that she lost with difficulty (2-3), and won the silver medal through it.
For his part, the President of the UAE and Asian Federations, Vice President of the International Karate Federation, Major General Nasser Al Razooqi, praised the achievement made by Fatima Khasif, congratulating her on the level she showed in the Asian Championship for adults.
