Natasinha Nandamuri Balakrishna’s son’s NTR – Kathanayakudu ‘and’ NTR – Mahanayakudu ‘are ambitious films based on the life story of the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. The films, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, were not a commercial success. However, Balakrishna was satisfied that he had played the role of his father. Moreover, Balayya was able to play back many of the great roles played by NTR. Bhishma is a character played by Balakrishna in the roles played by his father.

‘Bhishma’ is a 1962 film based on the story of Bhishmacharya in the Mahabharata. NT Rama Rao played the role of Bhishma in this film. This character means a lot to Balakrishna. Therefore, Balakrishna played this role for the movie ‘NTR – Kathanayakudu’. Some scenes were filmed. However, as the length increases, the Bhishma scenes are removed. With this, the audience could not see Balakrishna as Bhishma. Therefore, today on the occasion of Bhishma Ekadashi, Balayya released stills related to his Bhishma character.

Nandamuri Balakrishna said on this occasion .. ” I like the character of Bhishma. My father played the role of Bhishma beyond his age and received special acclaim from the audience. I like the movie, the character of Bhishma played by my father in it. That is why we shot the scenes of Bhishma in the movie ‘NTR – Kathanayakudu’. In it I played Bhishma.
