The candidate for Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, in his presentation at the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that in order to effectively deal with problems, serious work is needed, the cooperation of all of us who are the makers of the domestic political order, but also the support of the international community, above all the European Union and the United States of America, reports Anatolia.
After the adoption of the agenda at the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament with one point, the voting of the new Government of the Federation of BiH, Nikšić from the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina appeared before the representatives to read the exposition.
“I hope that we have a period of mutual satisfaction ahead of us, as well as respect on the way to building mutual trust and enabling the creation of an environment that will lead to a better quality and better life for citizens in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I would like to briefly outline the basics of the plan and the guidelines of the work of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the upcoming mandate period,” said Nikšić at the very beginning.
He emphasized that this is a time of serious challenges faced by BiH and all levels of government.
“Growing inflation, the wave of migrants, the emigration of the domestic population are some of the key challenges that the Government of the Federation of BiH will face. The consequences of the aggression against Ukraine leave a deep mark on the economic, security and political conditions of all European societies and administrative areas, as well as on Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, in order to effectively deal with the problems before us, we need serious work, the cooperation of all of us who are responsible for the domestic political order, and the unequivocal support of the international community, above all the European Union and the United States of America,” said Nikšić and added:
“We will primarily rely on our own resources, knowledge and capacities, and international cooperation should serve as an additional impulse that will contribute to political, economic and security stability, hopefully not only in this part of the country, but in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole,” said Nikšić. .
He particularly emphasized the importance of cooperation and accession to the EU.
“We have to connect with the EU in both a symbolic and literal sense. We will work quickly on the completion of Corridor 5C. In the coming period, we want to complete this strategic project and connect the Federation of BiH internally as well as with the region with a road network. We want to modernize the railway network, which should relieve road traffic communications. Capital projects will not be limited only to road infrastructure. We will work on increasing energy security, self-sustainability of the electrical energy system in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Nikšić and continued:
“Our natural resources are our greatest wealth, a pledge for the future of generations to come, we must protect them with quality legal solutions, especially in the area of forest and water resource protection.”
He pointed out that widespread corruption is one of the biggest causes of stagnation and decline in society.
“The foundations for an effective fight against corruption and organized crime in the FBiH were laid in 2015, it’s time to finally build institutions on those neglected and neglected foundations that will stand up to the scourge of corruption and organized crime with quality, impartiality and efficiency,” said Nikšić.
He also said that the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will increase allocations for key sports federations and representative teams because they are the best ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the world.
“I am sure that the new government and this convocation of the parliament will be exposed to numerous trials and differences in opinion and vision of various processes. However, these differences should not be an obstacle to discussion and agreement. I wish everyone successful work and progress. I call on the opposition to be corrective to us, to criticize, but also to try to be constructive, let him point out problems, but let him also offer solutions,” said Nikšić at the end.
