Yesterday, FIFA announced the logo for the new edition of the Club World Cup (America 2025), the largest edition in the history of club tournaments, in which 32 teams participate, including Al Ain Club, the Asian Champions League champion.
FIFA explained that the song Freed from Desire by Gala will serve as the audio identity of the tournament, which has become a unifying anthem for football fans, both national teams and clubs, over the past two decades. It invited fans to show the distinctive aspects of the clubs they support, under the slogan “Take your club to the world.”
The 2025 Club World Cup, to be held from June 15 to July 13, 2025, will include representatives from all six continental confederations.
So far, 30 of the 32 teams have qualified, with the participation of one more club from the South American Football Confederation, in addition to the representative of the host country, remaining to be confirmed.
The new logo for the Club World Cup draws inspiration from the history and culture of football, and the initials of the tournament name (CWC) have been stylized to take the form of a circular icon. The logo is set to be modified for use in all future editions of the World Cup.
