Union Minister of State Krishnapal Gurjar and others inaugurating the release of film Ajjo at Sector 12 PVR.
Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar said that even today people in many backward parts of the country are living under the shadow of superstitions and orthodox thoughts. But time is changing fast. The feature film ‘Ajjo’ will work to show a new light to the society by attacking the old conservative traditions. He was speaking on the occasion of the release of the film produced by the film’s producer Pradeep Mohanty and film’s director Ramji Bali at PVR, Sector 12 on Thursday.
In this film, the character of Ajjo’s grandmother is being played by famous film actress Dolly Ahluwalia, Ajjo’s mother Neelu Dogra and journalist Praveen Mohanty. Actor Yashpal Sharma is playing the role of Deputy Commissioner as a guest actor in the film.
Union Minister of State Krishanpal Gurjar said that even today, due to superstition and ignorance in many parts of the country, daughters are killed in the womb even before birth. Through the film Ajjo, a message is being given to save and educate those daughters. Pradipta has given a message to the country through the film to keep the medical check-up of women from time to time during pregnancy. She said that she was also born at the hands of a midwife, but the way lifestyle is changing today, she In view of this, by getting women examined in the hospital, both the mother and the child can be kept healthy.
On the occasion of film release, FIA President Narendra Aggarwal, industrialists HK Batra, Arun Bajaj, JP Malhotra, Jagat Madan, Suresh Chandra, Ramnik Prabhakar, Anand Mehta, Sandeep Singhal, Kulveer Sachdeva, TR Arora, Ashulal, PA Mohan Soni, Rajesh Mahajan, ND Nagpal, Subhash Tyagi, Gulshan Narang etc. were present.
