BokaroA massive fire broke out in firecracker shops set up on the occasion of Diwali in Bokaro, Jharkhand. About 30 shops were burnt to ashes in this accident. It was fortunate that there were no casualties. The fire brigade teams of Bokaro Steel Plant and Jharkhand Government brought the fire under control after about two hours of effort.

Temporary firecracker shops are set up in the open space near Garga Bridge in Chas of Bokaro district after the permission of the district administration. This year 66 shops were set up here. According to the information, when a firecracker caught fire in a shop, it engulfed many shops in no time. Firecrackers started exploding and rockets started firing. Due to which there was a stampede among the shopkeepers and customers. There was chaos for a long time due to the fire. There was chaos for a long time due to the firecrackers burning in the fire.
Meanwhile, many anti-social elements took advantage of the opportunity and looted firecrackers and money from shops. Bokaro district’s Additional Collector Mumtaz Ansari said that permission to set up shops temporarily was given with several conditions. Shopkeepers were instructed to follow the rules of disaster management. An investigation will be conducted to find out where the mistake happened and how the fire broke out.
On receiving information about the incident, leaders of various parties including Bokaro BJP MLA Biranchi Narayan reached the spot. He said that the negligence of the district administration has been exposed in this fire. At the place where permission was given to set up shops temporarily, strong security arrangements should have been made, but the administration did not pay any attention to this. He said that all the affected shopkeepers belong to the poor class. They should be compensated by the district administration.
