Deoria. The brake of the normal bogie of Chhapra-Mathura Express train got jammed in front of Pujarbhinda village at around 7.30 am on Monday morning between Baitalpur-Gauribazar railway station in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. Due to which smoke started coming out. Seeing the smoke coming out, there was panic among the passengers. The train stopped for half an hour.
Chhapra-Mathura Express train number 22531 left from Deoria Sadar railway station. As soon as the train reached in front of Pokharbhinda village, smoke started coming out from the wheel of coach number 201088. Loco pilot became aware of this. The loco pilot and guard immediately stopped the train by talking through walkie talkie. After that the guard extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher.
Chhapra-Mathura Express had left from Deoria Sadar Railway Station in the morning. As soon as the train reached near Pujarbhinda village, smoke suddenly started coming out from the wheel of coach number 201088. The loco pilot realized the problem and immediately contacted the guard through walkie talkie. Both of them together decided to stop the train immediately.
After this the jam brake of the bogie was released. The train stood still for about 30 minutes. After the brakes were repaired, the train left for Mathura. RPF Inspector Aas Mohammad said that the brake binding of the bogie of Chhapra-Mathura Express train was done. The train was stopped as soon as the loco pilot came to know about the technical fault. The train was dispatched 30 minutes after the brakes were repaired.
