Jordan. There has been news of firing outside the Israeli Embassy in Jordan. Three policemen have been injured in this firing. The attacker was killed in retaliation. Police said that the firing incident took place in Rabia area of the capital Amman. The police is investigating the incident.
After the firing incident, the police have advised people to stay indoors and are investigating whether any other people are involved in this incident. Jordan Police said that the attacker had fired on the police patrol, in which three policemen were injured by the bullet. As soon as the sounds of firing were heard, the police cordoned off the area.
Eyewitnesses said that after the firing, police vehicles and ambulances reached the spot. The Israeli Embassy is located at the same place where the firing took place. Protests against Israel also often take place in this area. In recent times, people have marched here several times in protest against Israel’s actions against Hamas and Hezbollah. However, it could not be known whether the firing incident was related to Israel or not.
It is noteworthy that a large number of people of Palestinian origin live in Jordan. According to statistics, the number of people of Palestinian origin in Jordan may exceed 12 million. In 1948, when there was a large-scale exodus from Palestine, these people came and settled in Jordan. This is the reason why there is a lot of anger among the people regarding Israel’s ongoing action in Gaza and Lebanon.
