Indigo Airlines flight number A320 Neo made its first successful landing at Noida Airport. The flight was welcomed with water cannon at the airport. This airport will open for commercial flights from April 2025.

A test flight of Indigo Airlines from Indira Gandhi International Airport in the capital Delhi landed at Jewar International Airport in Noida for technical evaluation.
The aircraft landed at Jewar International Airport for technical evaluation before the commencement of commercial flight operations next year in April 2025. Officials said that all security related tests have been completed at the airport. The new international airport is ready for its launch. Around 30 flights are expected to depart for domestic and international destinations in April. Its first phase will have 25 flights connecting major domestic cities and three flights to international destinations.
Apart from this, two flights will focus on cargo services. Jewar Airport is built on 1,334 hectares. This airport is being built in four phases with an investment of Rs 29,650 crore. This airport has a capacity of 7 crore passengers. It is noteworthy that the first runway of 3900 meter long and 60 meter wide is ready at Noida Airport. Marking and lighting work on the runway has been completed.
