New Delhi. A case of assault has come to light with Congress and India Block candidate Kanhaiya Kumar from Delhi’s North seat during the election campaign. The video of the incident is going viral on social media. A person came on the pretext of garlanding Kanhaiya Kumar and started slapping him. He also threw ink on Kanhaiya Kumar.
According to media reports, Kanhaiya Kumar had reached the Aam Aadmi Party office in New Osmanpur on Friday for campaigning. After the meeting was over, he came down with AAP councilor Chhaya. During this, many people reached Kanhaiya shouting slogans. One of these persons slapped Kanhaiya while he was garlanding him. After this, people showed black flags to Kanhaiya Kumar and raised slogans of Go Back-Go Back.
After this incident, Kanhaiya Kumar boarded the car and started challenging the people. Kanhaiya accused BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari of sending goons to attack him due to fear of him losing the election. Kanhaiya Kumar said, ‘BJP is not crossing 400, it is preparing to destroy democracy. We are facing injustice. I am not afraid.
Kanhaiya Kumar’s supporters immediately caught the attacking youth and started beating him. During this period the attacker suffered many injuries. Although Kanhaiya Kumar is safe. During the incident, Aam Aadmi Party woman councilor Chhaya Sharma was also scuffled. Chhaya has complained about this in the police station.
