Miles Jacobson, head of the Sports Interactive studio, has announced a milestone of Football Manager 2024 players.
The latest annual installment of the sports management game has reached 6 million players, a figure that until now had only been achieved by FM23.
According to Jacobson, FM23 took 284 days (just over 9 months) to reach this figure, while FM24 achieved it in 59 days (practically 2 months).
Both installments were available at launch on the Xbox Game Pass and Apple Arcade subscription services; In the case of Football Manager 2024, day one availability has been added on mobile devices with an active Netflix subscription.
Sports Interactive is preparing one of its biggest leaps for this year; Football Manager 2025 will mark the change of graphics engine to Unity. Football Manager 2025, FM25 Console and FM25 Touch will make the leap in 2024 while the Mobile version will be updated later.
This update will mark the arrival of women’s football among other new features such as a renewed interface and improvements to animations.
