The Saudi Minister of Education, Youssef Al-Bunyan, issued a decision assigning Manal bint Mubarak Al-Luhaibi as Director General of Education in Jeddah Governorate, and she is considered the first woman to hold this position in the history of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Luhaibi has a rich biography full of achievements, as she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sharia Sciences from the College of Education in Jeddah in 1412, and she graduated in her job duties, as she worked as a teacher of Sharia sciences, then an educational supervisor, then head of the Sharia Sciences Division, then supervisor of theoretical materials in the Schools Development Unit, then director of the Education Office in central Jeddah, then director of the Educational Supervision Department, then assistant director general for educational affairs (girls) and an internal charge (boys), and finally assigned He holds the position of Director General of Education in Jeddah Governorate.
