The Saudi Minister of Education, Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, issued a decision to form an advisory council for private education under the name “The Advisory Private Education Council”; To coordinate between the requirements of the educational process and the requirements of the private sector in the field of public education projects.
According to the ministry’s statement today, Monday, the decision comes within the framework of what the Ministry of Education is doing in terms of developing the education sector, improving the educational capabilities of private schools, stimulating investment in this field, as well as strengthening communication with the private sector to improve educational affairs, in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. In empowering the private sector, and the objectives of the human capacity development program.
The tasks of the Advisory Private Education Council are multiplied. To include a review of investor requirements in the educational sector, especially licenses related to private and international education, and consideration of engineering all procedures for these licenses, and reducing their implementation procedures.
The Minister of Education presides over the Council, provided that its membership includes representatives of a number of ministries, government agencies and the Ministry of Education, in addition to a group of investors and businessmen.
