New Delhi: Former United Janata Dal spokesperson Ajay Alok joined the BJP today (April 28) in the presence of Union Minister Ashwin Vaishnav in Delhi.
Speaking to reporters after joining the BJP, Ajay Alok said, “Joining the BJP is like coming home. This is not a day for talking too much. The party is working for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden. If I can contribute even 1 percent to Modi’s cause, it will be my greatest privilege.”
Union minister Ashwin Vaishnav said, “He has contributed a lot to develop a mindset. The party’s doors are always open to those who want to work for the welfare of the country and those who work for the poor.”
In June last year, Ajay Alok was one of the four people expelled from the party by United Janata Dal chief Nitish Kumar for being hostile to the party. Senior party leader and former Union Minister R.P.C. It is to be noted that while party leader Nitish Kumar refused to re-elect Singh as a Rajya Sabha member, Ajay Kumar supported him.
