(CNN) — Taylor Budowich, who served as a spokesman for Donald Trump, arrived in Miami federal court to appear before a grand jury as part of special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the former president’s handling of classified documents.
“Today, in what can only be described as a disingenuous and deeply troubling effort to use the power of government to ‘get’ Trump, I fulfilled my legal obligation to testify before a federal grand jury and answered every question honestly,” he said. in a Tweet.

The South Florida-based jury has heard testimony from multiple witnesses in recent weeks as part of the federal investigation that has relied for months on grand juries in Washington to help gather evidence and witness testimony.
Smith’s investigation into the possible mishandling of classified material and possible obstruction appears to be reaching its final phase.
