Gurugram: Socialist leader and former Union Minister Sharad Yadav has died due to ill health.
The 75-year-old was resting at home after suffering from ill health for the past few months. This evening he was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Gurugram where his condition is critical. However, the treatment failed and he died. Sharad Yadav’s death was confirmed by his daughter and Congress leader Subhashini Sharad Yadav, who posted on Twitter, “Dad is no more”.
Prime Minister Modi has condoled the demise of Sharad Yadav. It said, “The demise of Sharad Yadav ji is painful. He distinguished himself in public life for many years as MP and Minister. He was greatly impressed by Dr. Lohia’s principles. I will always cherish my interactions with him. Condolences to his family. Om Shanti.” He said.
