A TikTok user who claims she worked at Walmart is sharing a trick with users of the social network to save money every time they shop items that are close to their expiration dates.
User Cam (@softscorpio) posted a video claiming that all Walmart employees have the authority to lower prices on items that are expiring soon.
She says shoppers should just hold firm in asking for a price adjustment, stating that it’s store policy for the chain to offer these discounts..
In his video, Cam claims that Walmart customers can receive discounted prices on products that are nearing their expiration dates, and that there is nothing stopping any store employee from doing these discounts.
“Take the photo of the date, take the photo of the product and take a photo of the price tag, take it to a manager, it doesn’t even have to be a manager, someone at autocheckout can do this (bring down the price) for you ”, advises the TikToker.
Cam says that these sales can be done any day of the week at any time of the day.
“Take a photo, you can even take the price tag and the product, take it (to an employee) and they will give you a discount. They’ll probably give you a dollar off. 100% Guaranteed. I promise you he did it for a lot of people, managers have done it for customers.”
Cam claims that she herself gave many discounts for this reason while working for Walmart.
