Foundation stone of Medical Research Center laid: Union Minister Bale, important contribution of biomedical research towards health improvement

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh laid the foundation stone of Medical Research Center and Translational Research Laboratory building at THST I, NCR Biotech Science Cluster.

Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the central government is constantly laying emphasis on improving health services. Along with this, research is also being promoted. In the coming time, a radical change will be seen in the health services of the country. The scientists of the country will contribute in making the most serious diseases incurable by doing research. The Union Minister of State visited the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) here on Wednesday and laid the foundation stone of a ‘Medical Research Center’ and ‘Translational Research Laboratories’ to be built in the campus.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh celebrated the occasion as Utsav 2023. He said that the Medical Research Center would be a 50-bed hospital which would be extremely useful for conducting observational cohort studies and phase one and phase two trials in future. Dr. Singh appreciated the scientific achievements of THSTI and said that the country is rapidly working towards biomedical research to improve the health of people in the world. TSSTI is a pioneer in conducting research. Dr Singh said that people should know the kind of work THSTI is doing. He suggested institutional collaboration with industry and academia which is very important to take bench-side research products to the clinic. Dr. Rajesh Gokhale, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Prof. Pramod Garg, Executive Director, Prof. Pramod Garg, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, in the past years, highlighted the achievements of Mother and Child Health (MCH) Research, Vaccine Development, Clinical Groups, Tuberculosis, Influenza Diagnostics, Human Microbiome, Non-Alcoholic Highlighted the major achievements of THSTI in various areas like Fatty Liver Disease etc. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh, Dr. Jyoti, Dr. Anil Pandey, Prof. Shinjini Bhatnagar, Dr. Jayanta Bhatnagar, Dr. Amu Awasthi and other dignitaries were present.
