Fox News host Tucker Carlson said on January 4 that the US is “fabricating panic” over Russia and using it as a political tool.
As the journalist recalled, in 2016, the WikiLeaks organization published information about the instruction of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to his office to exert maximum influence on the election results.
“To cover up this oversight, the Clinton campaign claimed that Russia did it, that the Russians hacked the servers,” Carlson added.
According to the Fox News host, intelligence agencies were aware that this was a lie. However, “they didn’t say a word, as it turned out that accusations against Russia are an excellent political tool.” Carlson sneered that this has now become the standard response to any incident in Washington.
Everything that is objectionable to the US leadership is called “Russian disinformation” and censored. Thus, the White House blocked thousands of Twitter accounts, which, according to the statements of the special services, were controlled by Russia. At the same time, it turned out that the information published from these accounts simply did not comply with government policy.
Carlson called these actions illegal and violating the US constitution.
Earlier, on December 26, Carlson said that accusations against Russia about explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines are the most stupid lie about Russia in 2022. According to the TV presenter, many false statements and accusations were made against Moscow in 2022. The journalist also accused the American media, which “with a serious face” covered explosions on gas pipelines, in this vein.
Tucker Carlson placed responsibility for organizing the accident at Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 on the administration of the current US President Joe Biden.
Also on November 16, Adrienne Watson, spokesman for the US National Security Council (NSC), said that the United States holds Russia responsible for the incident with the fallen missiles in Poland, regardless of the final results of the investigation into what happened.
