The festival includes races for the crown jewel of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Zayed Cup, the Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Cup, the Al Wathba “Stallions” Cup, and the World Forum for Purebred Arabian Horse Racing.
The “Mother of the Nation” Cup, for a distance of 2,300 metres, with a prize of 10,000 euros, was allocated to purebred Arabian horses aged four years and above, and seven horses participated in it, competing fiercely on the grass track, to snatch the title, due to their close levels.
The rider, Cobb Vanderbeek, took advantage of his position in the second gate, to start along the inner fence, and remained in an excellent position throughout the course of the race, which is 2,300 meters long, before his rider unleashed him, to lead him by 1.5 lengths over his rival, “Picassotti” for “SBM Racing.” », under the supervision of Joostma Meld, and led by Adrie de Vries. The first races of the festival began last January, with new races being added this season in 2024. It will witness the organization of 150 local and international races around the world, including races from the categories classified as the first category and the second and third categories.
