The media office said the laboratory would facilitate flight procedures and facilitate quarantine operations as Kovid can test up to 20,000 passengers per day. The facility has been developed in partnership with Pure Health and Tamau Healthcare.

Passengers are required to take the Kovid PCR test result within 96 hours of departure to Abu Dhabi. A copy of the negative test results must be kept for admission. All passengers arriving at the airport will be subjected to additional PCR screening.
Kovid will check in at this facility for all passengers arriving at the airport via Terminals 1 and 3. Test results will be shared via SMS and WhatsApp. Additionally, it will be available on the Alhosn mobile app.
The 4,000-square-meter facility will have 190 employees. Passengers with a negative PCR test result and from the list of Green Countries will not have a quarantine. Other passengers must stay in the quarantine themselves.
