New Delhi: The Supreme Court resumed full functioning yesterday with all sittings after the summer break.
In this case, Chief Justice T. Y. Chandrachud announced yesterday that free Wi-Fi facility has been provided in the court rooms from 1 to 5. Similarly, there will be no more books or papers in courtrooms, he said. At the same time, he said, it does not mean that books and papers should not be relied upon. The Supreme Court chambers are equipped with various modern technological facilities including additional digital screens and enhanced video conferencing facility. This gives the courtrooms a fresh look.
At present Wi-Fi facility is provided in Chief Justice’s Chamber and Court Rooms 2 to 5, Waiting Rooms, Journalist Room 1 and 2. The Chief Justice has announced that Wi-Fi facility will be provided to the remaining courtrooms gradually.
