Paris: The Indian women’s archery team won a silver medal at the World Archery Championships. The World Archery Championships are being held in Paris, France. India and Chinese Taipei clashed in the finals of the archery competition in the compound division yesterday.
The Indian team consisted of Deepika Kumari, Angita Bhagat and Simranjeet Kaur. In the final, the strong Chinese Taipei team defeated the Indian women’s team 5-1 to win the gold. Following this, the 2nd place Indian team won the silver medal. – PTI
