The ministry said the regulation would take effect from August 1.
Access to government institutions, private institutions and public places will be allowed only to those who have received immun status in the Tawakkalna application by receiving the vaccine or recovering from covid infection. From August 1, those who do not take the vaccine will not be able to enter commercial centers, shopping malls, wholesale centers, retail outlets, public markets, restaurants, cafes, men’s barber shops and women’s beauty parlors.
However, those who have come to Saudi Arabia after receiving the vaccine from other countries, including India, will have to submit the documents prescribed by the Ministry of Health to their immun status if they have not been updated on the app, officials said. Otherwise they will not be allowed to enter public places including the institution where they work. More details will be available soon.
