A consultative meeting of Arab ministers concerned with mineral resources affairs was held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, a day before the start of the International Mining Conference. The conference is the first of its kind on the mining sector in the countries of the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
The meeting witnessed the launch of the first digital platform for requests and offers of industrial and mining products for Arab countries.
And the Arab Ministers of Mining and Mineral Resources agreed to launch a special platform, which will be a database for manufacturers and mining providers, so that it is easier for everyone to benefit in all Arab countries.
The launch of the platform came with the approval of 21 Arab countries that participated in the consultative meeting.
The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources is organizing the International Mining Conference, which brings together two thousand participants from more than 100 countries in its first session.
It brings together governments, investors, explorers and mining companies, and connects policy makers with investors and business leaders.
The conference aims to promote the establishment and development of mining areas in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
It highlights the innovations that will support mining in the future, and aims to activate partnerships across integrated value chains.
