New Delhi: Sonia Gandhi, one of the prominent leaders of the Congress party, has criticized the central government’s budget for the financial year 2023-24 as a peaceful attack on the poor.
Sonia Gandhi’s comment on Budget 2023-24 has been published in an English newspaper. In it, he said: “While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his ministers are raising their voices as the guru of the world, Amrita Kalam, the financial irregularities of a businessman (Adani) who is very close to him have come to light. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policy is to favor his rich friends. As a result, the middle class has to bear the loss to the country.
The middle class and small and medium enterprises have already been hit hard by demonetisation and the faulty implementation of GST. In this case, the middle class is forced to bear the losses caused to the government due to the wrong policies of the rulers. The hard earned money of the middle class in Eti LIC and SBI is being invested in poorly managed private companies.
The future of the affected people is in question as the Prime Minister and his ministers are taking steps to transfer the savings of the middle class to the companies of businessmen who need them while claiming that it is the Guru of the world.
The central government is doing the process of selling the priceless PSUs to the private sector at low cost. In this too, PSUs are sold to those who want them. Due to this, unemployment is increasing and many people are suffering especially the Scheduled Tribes.
The Central Government brought 3 Acts related to agriculture, which later failed. In addition, agriculture continues to be neglected. Due to this, the farmers have been severely affected. The recently concluded India Unity Yatra highlighted how disillusioned the Indian people are.
Rising prices, unemployment and falling incomes are hitting the poor, middle class, rural and urban dwellers hard. The current government is diluting the laws and schemes brought in during the Congress regime to empower the poor.
