The Fujairah Martial Arts Club won the award for the best influential Arab club within the “Best” award, organized by “Tawaj News” in Egypt for the third year in a row, in the category of the club with the most influential achievements globally, Arably, and locally for the year 2023.
This came during the ceremony held in Cairo, in the presence of the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, and an elite group of sports leaders.
Club Director Nader Abu Shawish said in press statements: “Winning the award came after the club was able to organize several international tournaments, most notably the Fujairah International Taekwondo Open Championship for 11 consecutive years, the Arab Cup for four years, and the fencing qualifiers that qualify for the Paris Olympics.”
He added: “The club has also achieved many achievements, most notably obtaining the ISO quality certificate for organizing sustainable sports events, and the Guinness World Records certificate for organizing the largest taekwondo training session. The club also won four shields for general excellence last season in taekwondo, judo, fencing, and swimming. He was able to retain the Taekwondo Excellence Shield for the fifth consecutive season.”
