The Gabon team is close to reaching the round of sixteen of the African Nations Cup, currently being held in Cameroon, after its 1-1 draw with its Ghanaian counterpart, on Friday, in the second round of Group C.
Gabon raised its score to four points in second place, as it had won the first match over Comoros 1-0, two points behind Morocco, the leader and qualifier to the next round with six points.
On the other hand, Ghana scored the first point in its journey in the tournament, losing in the first match against Morocco 0-1, before drawing with Gabon on Friday, to occupy the third place, while Comoros are at the bottom of the group without a balance of points.
Ghana advanced through Andre Ayew in the 18th minute, before Jim Alvina equalized for Gabon in the 88th minute.
In the third and final round of the group, the Gabonese team will face Morocco, while Ghana will play Comoros next Tuesday.
