Garbage truck driver Sergei Maksimchuk rescued an injured swan in the Komi Republic. It is reported by IA FlashNord with reference to the press service of the Regional Operator of the North.
The man was returning from Nizhny Odessa and noticed a bird on the road. The swan was wounded, someone shot him. Maksimchuk took him into the cab of the car and drove him to Ukhta. The next day, an employee of the company took the swan to her summer cottage.
The bird was examined by veterinarian Kristina Kamasina. She reported that the wings were not damaged, which means that the bird will be able to fly away when he recovers.
The swan was given the name Semyon Semyonovich. If he cannot fly away, he will move to the Yelyaty park near Syktyvkar.
Earlier, on June 5, it was reported that employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Primorsky Territory rescued a helpless foal, which was found on the coast of the Sea of Japan, 30 km from the village of Maksimovka. The foal was given the name Rescuer.
