The central government has cut the prices of domestic gas cylinders by Rs 200. The new prices will be applicable from today. With this, now the cylinder will be available from Rs 1103 to Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 908 in Bhopal and Rs 906 in Jaipur. Along with this, 75 lakh new Ujjwala connections will also be distributed.
Why this news is important: The government says that 33 crore people will benefit from this decision. At the same time, the government will have a burden of 7,680 crores in the financial year 2023-24. Till now only the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme used to get a subsidy of Rs 200. 2. Engines of two Indigo flights stopped in the air in a day, the pilot made a safe landing
In one day, one engine each of two Indigo flights shut down in the air. However, both the aircraft were landed safely. The first incident happened on a flight from Madurai to Mumbai. Chandrayaan-3 sent a second observation on the fifth day after reaching the moon. According to this, there is presence of sulfur at the South Pole. Apart from this, the presence of oxygen, aluminum, calcium, iron, chromium, titanium, silicon and manganese has also been detected. The search for hydrogen continues.
Why this news is important: The payload on the Pragyan rover has made this discovery. Earlier, the rover had sent observations related to temperature on the moon. The presence of sulfur can provide information about the Moon’s formation and its evolution. Sulfur is usually released in volcanic activities. 4. Center said – The decision to make J&K a Union Territory is temporary, SC asked – when will it give statehood
A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on the petitions filed against the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Ladakh will remain a union territory, but Jammu and Kashmir will soon be made a state again. On this, the court asked what is the time limit for giving back statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
