Gas explosion in the Tula region – causes
As the most probable cause of the emergency, a malfunction of gas equipment was named. The bang occurred on the evening of February 7 on the fourth or fifth floor of the building, as a result, part of the house collapsed.
The prosecutor’s office organized an investigation into the incident, the employees of the supervisory authority arrived at the scene. The employees of the Investigative Committee also arrived.

According to the latest data, the state of emergency claimed the lives of five people. Three more were injured. Two more people are believed to be under the rubble. Rescuers are working on the spot – 42 people and 12 pieces of equipment, residents are being evacuated. The arrival of the airmobile group of the Tula Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry is planned.
Several victims were rescued from the rubble. According to an eyewitness to the tragedy, at least four residents were rescued. They will be provided with a temporary accommodation facility.

On the footage from the scene, you can see that the first entrance of the house is almost destroyed, as well as part of the building above it. The wreckage was cordoned off, residents of neighboring houses gathered near the destroyed house.
