Before the fight for the WBA Asia title, the weighing procedure of the Russian fighter Murat Gassiev and his rival German champion Michael Wallisch took place. This was announced on Wednesday, July 21, by the REN TV channel.
It turned out that the Russian athlete is almost four kg heavier than his opponent. The weight of the Russian is 106.5 kg, Wallisch weighs 102.6 kg. After the weighing procedure, the athletes shook hands.
Earlier that day, BetCity traders named the favorite of the fight. In their opinion, the Russian has a better chance of winning. Gassiev’s success was rated with a coefficient of 1.02. If Wallisch wins, the odds are 13.00.
The total of rounds is set at 3.5: for less – 1.65, for more – 2.10.
On July 18, the Russian boxer spoke about preparations for the fight with Wallisch. He noted that training should be approached without much fanaticism, so as not to get injured right before the fight.
The fight for the WBA Asia champion title will take place on July 22 as part of the tournament, timed to coincide with International Boxing Day. REN TV will broadcast live.
Russian professional boxer, WBA Asia South champion Edgar Ghukasyan and Argentinean Ricardo Villalba will also meet in the ring. Russian Mikhail Aloyan and Mchanya Yohana from Tanzania will box for the REN TV belt.
