This year, the Gazprom holding will produce 515 billion cubic meters. m of blue fuel – a record amount of gas in 13 years. This was announced on Thursday, December 23, by the head of the company Alexey Miller at a conference call.
“This year we will produce 62.2 billion cubic meters of gas. m of gas more than last year, and we will reach the level of annual production of 515 billion cubic meters. m. This is the best indicator in the last 13 years, ”said Miller.
Against the background of growth in the consumption of this type of fuel in the world, Gazprom satisfied this need by more than a third, the head of the holding said.
According to him, the volume of gas supplies within the country this year increased by 29.7 billion cubic meters. m against the indicator reached in 2020.
In addition, the company faced a peak in gas demand not in summer, as it usually happens, but in autumn and winter, he stressed.
“And for the first time in the company it was decided that after the end of the autumn-winter maximum, we will adopt a special program of preparation for passing the summer maximum. In the same way, we will prepare an action plan for our subsidiaries and we will systematically prepare for the summer peak, ”Miller concluded.
Gazprom increased gas production by 15% from January to November 2021, the company said on November 1. Also, gas exports to non-CIS countries for 10 months increased by 10.4%, to 158.8 billion cubic meters. At the same time, by November, gas exports to a number of countries had already exceeded the volumes for the entire 2020, in particular to Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.
