In Berlin, the capital of Germany, protests were held due to the attack by Israeli forces on the city of Jenin, in the north of the occupied West Bank, in which 12 people were killed, including four children, reports Anadolu.
A large number of Palestinians participated in the protests organized by the Palestinian National Action Committee in Potsdamer Square to protest against the Israeli attacks on Jenin.
At the demonstration, where anti-Israel slogans were shouted, in addition to Palestinian flags, banners were carried that read “Stop the aggression on Jenin”, “Freedom for Palestine” and “Palestinian children have the right to life”.
Maanes Al Abyad, one of the organizers of the demonstration, told Anadolu that they gathered here to show solidarity with the Palestinian people, especially those in the refugee camps in Jenin.
Noting that the Israeli army’s attacks on Jenin killed 12 people and injured many others, Abyad said: “The people of Palestine are not alone. All people and all those who want peace stand behind them until the Palestinians get their rights back.”
Abyad said that the world public is only observing the situation and asked to condemn the actions of the Israeli army.
Ahmed Muhaisen, who attended the protests, asked the world public, the United Nations (UN), the German government and the European Union (EU) to do something to stop the Israeli aggression and said: “We demand the German government, the parties, the German chancellor to stand with Palestinians for justice. Palestinians die every day. Apache helicopters target refugee camps.”
After the address, the gathered dispersed peacefully.
The Israeli army attacked the city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp on Monday, July 3, and surrounded the region.
In the air and ground attacks of the Israeli forces, which lasted for 48 hours, four children, 12 Palestinians were killed, and around 120 people were wounded, 20 of them seriously.
The Israeli army, withdrawing from the refugee camp, announced that one of its soldiers was killed.
