The American company “SpaceX” announced the launch of the “global roaming” service through the Starlink system, which provides Internet through satellites.
SpaceX has begun testing a new feature called Global Roaming Service through the Starlink system, to provide Internet to users around the world, according to The Verge.
Starlink said in a message received by some of its users: “Starlink is testing a new feature that will allow users to connect to the Internet from almost anywhere in the world. The global roaming service will cost $ 200 per month in addition to the price of basic Starlink equipment, which has a value of $ 599.”
In its message to users, Starlink indicated, “Internet speeds through the new service will be high, but at some periods the connection may be interrupted or its speed may decrease, but the service will improve significantly over time.”
And since the company’s services are not currently offered in all countries, those in charge of Starlink are working to obtain regulatory approvals for the service to operate in several additional countries such as India, Pakistan and Cambodia.
